I have the white padded steering wheel on my 03 sunny. Thinking of upgrading to the shinny blue which would match the bezel rings around my gauges.
My steering wheel is held on with 5 bolts. The new ones use 6 bolts. Same size wheel though. So I'd have to get a new hub as I understand it.
My question is does anyone else have the blue or red shinny steering wheels? I think they are aluminum and should not get hot to the touch after sitting in the sun .....but I'd like to hear form someone who has one to verify that guess. Also are they any disadvantages to switching out the steering wheels?.

My old sunny had the blue wheel, my current one has the red wheel. They are not aluminum, although they do look like they're anodized. They are somewhat padded and "squishy" (not the brand...)
But to answer your question, no, they do not get hot at all in the sun.
