Hello guys,
Just bought a 2007 32 SS with twin 6.2 mx engines. On the sea trial it did 67 mph but since then never actually managed to go over 65 mph (4700 rpm). It has standard 24p props. I've read that the boat with these engines can reach up to 70 mph. Does anyone have an idea how to get a few extra mph... is anyone running with different props? if yes can you kindly provide me some feedback.
Kind Regards,
Yiannis

Just some things off the top of my head, are the tabs up the entire way? How much trim are you running? The stepped hulls don't like smooth water, easily pick up a few mph in some good chop, Wayne props these boats really well, not sure what the rpm wot range is on the 6.2, I would think around 5k? How do the props look? Air temp can cost you speed aswell if it's hot

Thank you for your replies. I have trimmed the drives as up as possible and my tabs are all the way up. Props polished and shinny. To be frank it is hot during summer here in greece but I never push the boat mid day...
Since the revs seem to go up to only 4700 I was thinking about slightly smaller props.. Has anyone tried something similar?
