Default 6.2 MPi

Trying to help a good friend. The motor is a 6.2l MPI with 77 hours. We were heading back to dock after the browns game... 4,200 rpm... the boat fell off plane (2002 rinker 340) and the starboard motor slowly lost rpm, we quickly shut it down ( gauges were all good) just before shutting it down I heard a knock sound... oil level is good. We replaced the TPS.... the next day and re fired the motor... sounded good.... idled out of the river... 5 min later... knocking sound.... no oil pressure... shut motor down. Any ideas? I'm thinking oil pump.

I would drain the oil from the oil pan or thru the drain hose attached if applicable. Then I would very fine filter that motor oil for metal content

Next I would cut open the oil filter and look inbetween pleats for metal, I would look for the bi or tri metals of bearings in the motor oil and in the oil filter
