Default Cracked Windshield, any ideas

So tonight as I was getting out of the boat via the windshield on the ramp, night dew wet. I slipped and crashed my leg into the windshield and cracked it about 2 inches from the passenger side corner clip. The crack goes about half way down so now it is loose. It is a yr 2000 29' Fever with the molded plexiglass, not the new aluminum wrap around. Anyone glue it? Epoxy?? Anyone selling one? Should I call Fountain?? I can only imagine the price. Figures last ride of the season.

Try Fountain first. Also, Marine Plastic Innovations in Babylon, NY. They might be able to help.

If you have a good acrylic shop in the area they can probably make you one. I would get it made from polycarbonate and not acrylic.

I asked about this when I was getting some other stuff made. The local place here said the curve and the lip would be the issue.

They could do it but by the time I paid to have the forms made to do the curve it wasn't cheap. For the second one it would be!

I just got a new set from Fountain,, was about $1800. Lots of people do a Race Fairing instead but I wanted the factory look Got my old one for sale but its all crazed and painted the back side to hide the crazing. You can glue and pin it but will never hold like new. Save your breath on getting one made, wasted a year looking and would of only save a couple hundred. Just bite the bullet and call Fountain. Picking it up will save a few hundred. Good Luck
