You need a solid coupler. You can either unbolt your existing surge coupler, and put a new solid coupler on (as there a couple of online trailer parts houses that sell them), can have on fabricated locally, or some folks have gone a bit cheaper route and just drilled a few 5/8" holes through their existing (slide mechanism of) surge brake coupler, and made it fixed.
But you can put this on just about any trailer, pole tongue, or A-frame.

Once you have EOH brakes, you won't settle for anything else. Best trailer upgrade. I had them on the last 3 trailers. Nothing like easy stopping. In fact it can stop my dually with 3 sets of Kodiaks on mine.
