GOST security systems on your boat. Question and story if you have not seen it.

For those of you that have them, do you like them?
There was a crazy theft and recovery story that played out on The Hull Truth this past weekend and it looks like this was one of the contributing factors to locating it.

We sell a lot of them. In fact installed the system on John's Intrepid as well as the all the other electronics.
He had a pretty elaborate system. However the basic Nav Trackers work really well if the antennas are hidden well.

Congratulations! You guys must feel great to see the boat recovered. I am familiar with the SPOT offer and its limitations. Can you give an idea on what a ballpark range on what the fully installed systems (1 or 2 camera) run from basic to all-in-one systems with monthly fees? The website has interesting features for cruisers like filling the cabin with smoke, but I have to think strobes and peircing speakers that are rigged to a geofence alarm would be a great deterrant. If someone hooked up your boat and started driving down the road (or canal) and all of a sudden there are lights and sirens blaring, I highly doubt they are going to stop and take the time to trace wires and disable them.
