Default Anything to prevent where the outdrive "rubs" the gimbal ring

Is there anything you can do to prevent or help prevent the drive and gimbal from wearing each other out where it "rubs" the tabs on the gimbal ring? I'm assuming those tabs are meant to help keep it aligned but it's wearing my outdrive and the gimbal. Maybe something to slow it down? Thanks in advance

It should have plastic snap in wear tabs there.

Thanks griff. This is my second "speed" boat and I don't think my last boat had anything and this one sure doesn't. It is a BMAX so I don't know if that makes a difference. Where can I find these any idea? I am going to be ordering somethings from the bravo shop. They should have them correct? Also do they go on the drive or the gimbal ring?

Anyone have a pic. Handy showing where these are supposed to be located? Thanks!

Here's what I saw, not good. All 4 missing and wear on the outdrive outside ears. The gimbal ring has a thickened edge where they contact. With all that wear it seems a snap in "wear plate" will simply pop right off. There's no hardware shown in the fiche above. I'm wondering if I install them will the drive even clear the gimbal ring in the full down position. Your constructive opinions are greatly appreciated.

They will just snap in and I highly doubt they will pop out.
