If you are referring to shimming the upper to the lower; I am interested as well?

I believe you have the wrong part number for that shimming tool. Should be 91-67441.

It explains how to shim the upper to the lower in Mercury service manual #5.

You are absolutely correct. The correct # is 91-67441. Sorry for the confusion.

I would prefer the most economical, Use one, how much or buy one how much? Either way I certainly appreciate your help! Thanks Paul

I thought the tool needed to mate the upper to the lower was a depth micrometer!!!!!!!!!
