2005 Mercury 496 HO. 570 +/- hrs on boat meter, so actual motor time is less than that. Starts/runs perfect. Smartcraft capable. Oil and filter changed every 50hrs. Ran in freshwater only. Yes. The Mercury 496 (gen VII big block chevy) is fuel injected and uses individual coils.

Clean, 100% fresh water life, powered my 25 outlaw to 70 mph with a good labbed 25 mirage plus. This motor will take good care of someone.

Days are getting longer, spring is almost here!

Why was it out last year?

Installed hydraulic steering, imco extension box, trim tabs, painted bilge, re-rigged everything. Just easier to do with the motor out.
