Default Un-waxed exterior gelcoat

Hey guys just got package from us composites to do some repairs and patching and I realized that gelcoat is not waxed, label says "exterior/un-waxed".
So my question is can I use this for the final layer or will have to get waxed?

Thank you!

A couple of options, you can spray PVA over the top or get the wax and add it.
Either way it won't cure unless you seal it off from the ambient air.

You can also add Patch Aid

You can also add dura-tec clear, which will thin it out and help it lay out/spray better.

I have had better luck with white gelcoat not yellowing down the road if I used covered with PVA instead of adding wax into the mix.

Also thinks it help with the repair not getting a haze around the patch.

You probably did the work already but use full info I'll pass to others that might read this. I have used Duratech with white gel coat and over the years it got gummy and yellowish. Only way to clean it up has been as follows: Aceton on a rag to wipe off 2x2 area, then sand with 500 grit (carefully) and finally polish with 3M cut and polish compound. Good luck I've had good results with Patch aid, PVA and gelcoat with wax. So knock yourself out.
