Not the first time this boat has been mentioned on OSO, it's been for sale for years, at one stage it was down to about 20k I think. So many reasons why nobody would touch it but if you've got 1,800 horsepower sitting in your garage gathering dust, there's gotta be a few good reasons to resurrect this 47.
Love the lines of the flat deck and the colors work for me.

It's been discussed on here before and most guys think it needs big power and too much fitting/rigging on a 24 year old boat. My opinion, if you're happy at 100mph and don't need 130, it could be set up with sensible, reliable power. Sure it's an old boat but if the hull is good (transom, deck, stringers etc) then it could still be a great boat. Do the maths to yourself, add 30%, and then ask........ "If I had xxxx dollars, what would I buy?" This boat is no different to any of the other 'project' boats we see advertised except it's a lot bigger than most so it needs more rigging.
I could be wrong, having read the add, you know as much about the boat as I do but if you've got engines ready to drop in a boat you're well on the way.
I hope someone more knowledgeable than me chimes in to arm you with all the right info.

Going back to 2008, it was viewed enthusiastically but seems it never went ahead.....
