ONE MONTH OUT!! Make your plans! We will be going to The Blu Mangrove on the Manatee River. It is actually just across the river from our previous destination. So it is still just about 26 miles each way from the Sarasota 10th St Boat Ramp to the lunch stop. Many people stay at The Hyatt on Sarasota Bay or at The Ramada Inn water front. We will be having a New Years Eve get together / open house at Kinetic Animation. We leave the boat ramp at NOON on Sunday, January 1st. Everyone is welcome boats of any shape or size.

The Turk clan will be there for sure! We're holed up at the Ramada. Oh yeah nice run in englewood that water was pretty challenging.

We are coming from Michigan. Already booked the Hyatt. Last year we got there a few days before and started exploring the intracoastal. The day of the run, we fired the boat up, idled out from the Hyatt marina and took our positon amongst the many boats. About 10 minutes before the 12noon start the port engine stalled. It wouldn't restart. Of course I was saying stuff like you gotta be kidding me, and a few other things mumbling under my breath. We watched all the boats start and head northbound in Sarasota Bay. We turned around and idled back to the Hyatt on the starboard engine, tied her up, and jumped in the car. Drove out to the Bridge Tender Bar, ordered some food and a cocktail and managed to see the boats coming back south bound. In fact even a few boats stopped at the Bridge Tender on the way back. A few days later.... turned out it was the port engine fuel pump was shot. So we are really looking forward to it. (again lol)
