Anyone tear one of these apart.
The throttle levers can move a long way with no effect of the throttle moving. Watching the cable on the carb when the cable moves the carb butterfly shaft moves so the problem is not there it has to be at the controls.
Twin set up they both have slop.
Thought if someone tore into one of these and had some advice I would appreciate it.
There is button in center of chrome handles that say mercruiser in a circle around the button.
Thanks

Not advice on the slop however I did have to disassemble mine to remove. I do not need and they have 360 original hours on them and work flawlessly. Look like new. Crome spotless. If you need them let me know. Looks like your replacing cables also. Was that the problem?

Yes I understand that, the problem is after you have shifted and your cruising along and you try making slight adjustments you can move the lever but the throttle plate does not move until you move the throttle lever too far. And there is no sloop at the throttle plate shaft and throttle cable at the Carb.
