Chevy 3500 or Sportchassis

So it's getting to that time that I need to buy a new vehicle. I'm trying to decide between the new 2017 Chevy 3500 or an older Sportchassis. New truck obviously has warranty and easier around town, but depreciation sucks. Bigger truck won't have warranty but I can fix anything wrong with it...it's more difficult in town and a little more headache as a daily driver. Split right down the middle. Truck will be a daily driver for the most part....thoughts and opinions

I have limited experience with the bigger trucks, but what I will tell you is this:
The Sportchassis is THE best of the bigger offerings. This comes from a friend here on OSO who has a big truck custom shop & dealership, and literally has everything at his disposal. He tows show trucks, boats, including his 43 OL; and tons of other stuff.
Some of the bigger trucks have a significantly better turning radius than the 1-ton offerings from the Big-3.
Overall, you really are not taking up any additional footprint with a CC LB Sportchassis vs.a CC LB 1-ton; other than maybe a bit wider at the front. And, the F-650 is actually a hair shorter than an F-350/F-450.
Now, I don't think I'd want one of the bigger trucks as a true DD going where I go for business meetings, in the city, etc. etc. Even compared to driving my 2500HD or F350, I know I can get around and in/out of placers quicker in my "beater" MB E500.

I love our 9th Ram, 16 3500, so leaned towards shopping for a Sportchassis over the F650 when buying a second truck just cause I'm "anti Ford" but ended up with a Super Truck F650 and LOVE it! Driven two sportchassis and they just don't impress me like all the hype. And if they are not lifted like the P2XL they really don't give much WOW factor like my F650 does on Super Singles! I don't agree with Sydwayz that the 650 is shorter but it does turn decent. Kristy and I daily drive it and LOVE it! She won't give up the wheel.
Both are great trucks but it's hard to choose a USED truck over a NEW truck....

Basically do you want to look "cool" or have a more comfortable ride, less maintenance, and a wrnty?

However, OSO member "excursion" was the one that gave me that info when he owned an F350 and F650 back to back; as to how they fit in his building with his 43BT.

That's the problem I'm running into, Ive got a bufget of around 60-75 and am waiting on the new L5P duramaxs to show up at the dealership. Ive got two sportchassis trucks (customers) that Ive been driving the past two days and the only issue that I am having with them is acceleration and drive-thrus. Other than that I like the ride. We live in a rural place, so parking spots are designed for dually trucks, the sportchassis fits just fine.
I looked at the f650 but I don't want a truck I have to climb up into, the FL is low enough I feel like I just step into. I have a Jag XF for city driving if I ever have to make that 1.5 hour commute.
I did look at the International MXT, but with no gooseneck hitch and 16K tow rating I wasn't impressed (or the stupid high pricing)

I'd personally go with the Chevy w/new L5P. Beautiful trucks and sill somewhat of a "normal" DD. I can't imagine driving a Sport Chassis every day just because of the massive size. I have a Chevy 2500 w/6" lift. After 6 years of daily commute, it did get a little old with the rough ride, fuel economy and the size.
