Default Removable mufflers on 525??? Thoughts

Ok I know it sounds like a stupid question but let me explain. We spend alot of time on LOTO and okabjI and the have a strict after dark noise dp law. We would like to enjoy some late night cruises or not have to leave a restaurant at dusk so we get home before dark. I would like something I can carry in the boat and put on at dusk. I wouldn't use much but I don't want anymore $200 tickets. Anyone have an options

An ocasional $200 ticket will likely cost less than two sets of quality mufflers that still will not likely pass a db test. You might consider just trying a headfake using inexpensive clamp on mufflers like Shotguns that cut most/some of the bark.

Look up GGB inserts. Made a big difference on my 496 and only has one bolt to remove if you want to take them out.

I have some Gibson 4" clamp ons and they reduced the sound to a reasonable level and have only one bolt. If you don't have a swim platform or anything you should be able to put them on. They will be a ***** to get off though and the metal might fatigue after repeated on off cycles, and they will scratch your tips all to hell.

+1 I run them on my 525's in MN/WI which is extremely tough on noise. I drop down to one engine when I see the patrol, but I've never been stopped.
