Well, Is it possible to remove the gimbal housing without taking out the engine if you lift the back of the engine up where it is supported by the gimbal housing inner plate?

Is this a Bravo application? I changed 2 transom assemblies on a Formula 303 last year without pulling the engines. I reused the inner transom plates so all of that stayed in place while I swapped the transom assemblies.

Ok, I got it figured out. I used a cherry picker to lift the engine slightly and move it forward about 2 inches to pull the old plate out and put the new imco inner transom plate in. It was a most of the day project. Now I need to extend the trim, lube and water lines and I should be ready to align the drive.

I posted when I had the hoist holding the back of the engine up in prep for pulling the gimbal.
