I ran my boat all weekend no problems. Once on the trailer I gave both props a quick spin just to make sure it was in neutral. Starboard spun, no problem. Port seemed to resist a little and every revolution makes a "clunk" sound kind of like it is missing a gear tooth or something. However, I cranked it back up on the trailer put in forward and reverse and the prop spun and made no noise. Is this something I should concern myslef with at all? As I said previously the boat ran perfect all weekend right up on to the trailer Sunday evening. I just wonder if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

drain and inspect the oil and the magnets on the upper and lower drain screws.....that should be the begging of the story...

Are these alpha or bravo drives. If they are alpha drives then the clunk is normal and you have a drive that is slightly out of shifter adjustment. If bravo have them looked at.

Did you use muffs to start that motor or back it in the water? If not you fried your impeller in your sea pump.
About the clunking sound, that doesn't sound normal, check it out, like suggested above.

DA -- I guess I didn't read the BRAVO DRIVE QUESTION. Have it looked at-- It shouldnt make noise.

I had something similar with mine but I didnt have the clunking noise. I figured out mine was just the cone clutch not fully released. How does it do if you spin it backwards?

It makes the clunk noise backwards or forwards. It sounds like I have some kind of gear problem.
