I am doing some research and have not seen one yet. Need to change out an engine I bought in a boat that the engine was put together by a hack. The block is not worth saving, both heads have cracks.

Many were/are drilled in the aftermarket. If you buy a reman or crate motor with a "seasoned" block, odds are it will be drilled.

When I rebuilt my 350 it had a mechanical fuel pump which fed the VST. I had to pass over several blocks that had issues OR did not have the mechanical fuel pump pad. I purchased a new block from GM that had the mech fuel pump provision.

Bottom line is both style blocks are out there. You just have to search a bit OR buy new.

I have seen some of the pcm mpi vortec motors with pump block off plates. Cant think of a roller cam vortec v8 that went over to the truck world that wasnt fi though.
Better check your camshaft 8 digit p/n too , if things are that bad with what you have there
