Tks mike I figured you'd post. I believe MT mentioned he used JE pistons also but don't recall if they were ceramic coated or not. I'm trying to find a good thick crown with the top ring down the right distance. The manleys top ring is down .350 and has a .250 thick crown which doesn't seem real thick but might be normal. Something I've never really looked into much to be honest.

I would be willing to try them. Cheaper than the JE's and you can have them tomorrow instead of waiting 3 weeks

a bit heavier than a JE but they were quite a bit cheaper.. I ordered them through www.cnc-motorsports.com and they were drop shipped directly from Manley..

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Ross pistons lately also. Actually couldn't find one complaint in SC or NA build. Part number 85070 flat top for a 4.530 bore - .010 in the hole - .042 head gasket, Ross is claiming 8.5:1.???

Any flat top -3 cc at or near the said bore I typically get from 9.0 to 9.6 depending on gasket etc. I'm not going more than .010 in the hole.

.075-.080 head gasket would be more like it to get close to 8.5
