just can't remember what material and number of layer we have to use for lets say, stringer replacement and transom ?
1708 mat x 2 or 3 then 1 roving for 1 layer ?

engine stringers
3 x 1708 with an extra layer or two of tabbing to really make it bomber. Dont bother with roving or mat if your looking to get a leg up on final finish toss a layer of peel ply on at the end.
similar to this but three over the stringer and an extra tab or two, i also put one layer down underneath to tie it all together in a sort of a T box that fully encapsulates the stringer

thanks . . . heres the transom layup. i haven't worked on the book in a while. I am up to almost twenty chapters but am trying to figure out how to format it and what to do with it. . . . . some day

I dont bed transoms in ounce and a half anymore, i use a core bedding compound instead. Way better and way easier to work with.
