Default Cleaning Fiberglass Tools

If you have a collection of rollers , scissors and other tools that are covered with hardened resin and mat,
Call your local ZEP dealer and get some Zepresto dip carb cleaner. It removed 2 year old Vinylester Resin from my stuff
in less then 30 Minutes!!!! The tools look like new !! Schit smells Bad but man does work .

This stuff is the Nastiest Schit out there , dont get any on you , it smells like melted plastic ! Its definitely not " Green" . I think its is mostly Methylene Chloride ( Paint remover ) .
I store it outside the shop it smells so strong . It only comes in 5 gals . One of my customers is a Rep so I get it as " Samples " . But I think its around 2 hundy a bucket. But you can also do
your own carb jobs to! Works like magic on paint gun parts too , it also desolved all the dap Weldwood contact adhesive from my siphon gun. Works like new now.

THe stuff Glassdave has isnt nasty.... you can use it to clean your hands and no stinging on the nicks or scrapes even... I wouldnt drink it, but I have cleaned my hands with it many times and my fingers havent melted off or anything. it doesnt smell toxic either.

I dont think surfasolve will remove Cured Resin , the Zep brand Zepresto will , It removed the 2 year old 700 vinylester and glass from my rollers .
BUT it is Nasty as Heel .Your wife will not even let you in the door with this stuff on you , it has a very tenacious odor that will hang around forever ! ( reminds me of all the old mechanic shops I grew up around )
You dont want to use it as a solvent ( like Acetone ) while you lay up. I use it only to resurrect my tools that have gotten screwed up by letting resin kick on them.
The Surfasolve is very good cleaner , and is nice to the Enviroment ,
