Default TB IV timing different from G5 454 to G6 502?

The reason I ask is the original 454 manual shows 8*|32* for the v8-24 ignition but 8*|28* if it were the other v8-20 ignition on the same era 502...So when one swaps a G6 GM 502ho crate motor in...using the original boat's ignition, does it stay at 8*|32*? I think all in @ 3000 rpm? The crate motor 502ho specs say ignition timing should be 32* TOTAL at 4000rpm. Which one overrules? Thunderbolt IV on a carbed 502.

Set it to 8* base timing.

V8-24 gives 24* of advance with total advance at 3750rpms
