Hey guys,
Long time visitor but never bothered to register but was hoping for some history help.
My father was the mechanic on a 73 or 74 Maltese named Getaway (red, orange and yellow inside and out) with his best friend. We helped co-owning it for about 8ish years between 2000 and 2008?
Previously his buddy had a second Maltese in white with teal interior piping and twin 350's. Next owners ended up converting to outboards and taking it back south.
Getway was bought from somebody in Chicago and then brought it back to Toronto for the Great Lakes and Georgian Bay with twin 454's. After enough time, life got in the way and we had to auction it for basically pennies.
Does anybody know anything about its history and where it's at now? Any help is appreciated since I only have one photo of her from where she was auctioned away that I can find and I can't seem to find how to upload a thumbnail or attachment yet... I will try and find more as well
Cheers!

There is a 1974 Magum 28 on yachtworld that is in Illinois . . and I believe it may be the boat you are looking for. I have seen the history on this boat and it's previous owner(s) . .
I will see if I can find the additional info I have . . previously found on-line . . somewhere . .

Will dust up some old albums come next weekend to see what I can find for my photos.

Found an old photo. Taken sometime in 2000 with both Magnum's side by side. White one was shortly sold after this.
Neighbours didn't exactly like our storage use.

I bought the Getaway from a guy in Canada and I'm having a friend in Michigan go through it and get her back on the water. Once we get mechanical all dialed in it will go to Ensenada MX for Paint and interior then to AZ for Lake Life. It's the 3rd Magnum I have owned. I currently have a 53' Magnum named Halycyon in San Diego
