Cool Poker runs in or near S.E. Michigan

All these GREAT bodies of water near me in south east Michigan and I can't seem to find any poker runs remotely close OR cost effective. Looks like any that are somewhat close, are for the "big boys" Not looking to spend 2 hondo and and be last. I'd like to run with other boats.
Any Ideas????
Anyone interested in starting one or me starting a few for the year?.
Signed just looking for some fun days or weekends, I only run 77 GPS, on a light day.

Look up LEOPA ( internet and FB ) and Lake saint Clair power boat club ( FB )

LEOPA is having a few fun runs this year and a run out of Put In Bay that is sold out

LSCPC has a few fun runs

Both clubs have boats that run your speed

LEOPA and LSCPC are both great clubs, you'll have all the runs you need between those two

^^^ This exactly, join the clubs and enjoy the runs. There are boats that run at all different speeds, it's not a race. More times than not the speed averages out to a nice comfortable run for the power you have. Get to the run early and make friends with people and see what their plans are during the run. You would be surprised, many triple digits boats average 70 MPH and just cruise. I am a member of LEOPA and we knew zero people when joining and felt like our boat at the time was underpowered. Not the case at all, people are there to enjoy boating. Please understand if a fun run/poker run has a fee it's not to line the clubs pockets. It pays transient slip fees, food costs AND most important $ goes to charity. It's not for huge profit by any means. Looking forward to meeting you at an event.
