Default Long term anchor

Need some ideas for a long term anchor , primaraly for use when its used off of a beach for a week or so. Im thinking it could be tossed into the back of a truck for transport, then set it at the beginning of a trip.
Thanks!

thats gonna be a tough bill to fill, any safe reliable long term anchor your not gonna "toss" anywhere

will it be used in the same place annually? Also what specific location? Ocean, inland lake, river, etc?

Not the same product, but the same concept...At the sandbars/beach I use 6' chunks of 2.5" diameter PVC with the bottom edge cut at an angle, and a tee at the top (to help set them). It has a little bit of flex for waves and 2 of them have held my 24' for the weekend with zero movement. Not sure how big of a boat you're trying to anchor, though.

The only problem I've seen- a friend used them front and back for his ski boat and didn't leave enough slack line to ride the waves. Wind kicked up at night, boat was uncovered, waves were coming over the sides and swamping the boat.

Here's a pic, I've since added pieces to the tees to make them easier to set and retrieve.

i had a 13 pound lewmar plow on a 270 sundancer,
i put a line w/ a float on the back hole in case it got lodged.
when i over-nighted in the inter coastal, i always woke up in the same spot,
the anchor self rights and resets itself, but i think the tide or wind would have to really
be going hard for you to get in trouble

Look into the Box Anchor, it served me well with all of my boats. Resetting was never a problem. I think it's made by Slide Anchor.

Box Anchor all the way and run a shore spike off the stern if you want. I've never had it slip and it works great on gravel/rocky/sandy/weeds bottoms.

Box Anchor. If it turns, and pulls; it flips and resets.
