Looking for a good reputable place to build me a new motor for my checkmate. I live in Michigan but I'm willing to get my motor built by someone in Ohio or even Indiana. Looking to get a 454 build around 500-550hp any help would be greatly appreciated

Where abouts you located in mi? You should look for a fresh rebuilt 502 short block though. 500 hp isn't out of the question for a 454 on pump gas but pushing it for marine use in my opinion and experience.
