Mike -

Saw the new rule: "The run is now open to all vessels with speeds above 55MPH." Is this saying minimum speed of 55mph is the change? I thought it was always open to any speed (ie slow) and skip card stops.

Went that way last year to avoid the rain. Going to be dodging blow boats through the washing machine coming back in by castle hill.

The run has always only been open to high performance vessels. These vessels typically cruise between 55-70mph. Because of our marine event permit with USCG and harbormaster notifications, its important we make every effort to stay on schedule and approved route. In an effort to comply with this and keeping participants together I have calculated all vessels must be able to maintain an average of 50-55mph.
