Back in 2013 I sent a letter to JR Noble asking him about getting a STIHL Offshore Racing Calendar. Not to long after I received a package with 2 STIHL T-Shirts, 2 Calendars and 2 DVD of the 2012 Key West Offshore Worlds. I was amazed to get all these thing and the DVD was great. I never met JR Noble or seen him racing in person but seen many race video's of JR Racing the STIHL race boat. I wish that the STIHL Team would of came to the St. Clair River Classic to race so that myself and many more race fans could of seen him race around here. I was saddened and shocked to hear the news about JR's passing. I was glad to see that STIHL and his son were going to continue to race the new SKATER boat which JR had built for himself by SKATER. JR was definitely one of the real good guys of the sport and I never heard anything negative ever said about him. He was not only missed by his family and his racing family but he was missed by race fans and anyone who knew him and was not only a great racer but a great person who left us all to early but his memory will live on with all who knew him or of him. Thank you Matt for posting this. R.I.P. JR Noble.
