Default Eddie Marine Flush Kit

Just installed this engine flush kit from Eddie Marine. Just wanted something to make flushing a little easier on myself and have the option of flushing it in the water if it has to sit overnight. I tried my best while hanging upside down for a few hours to do a clean install. I made sure that no hose were rubbing and had clearance on everything. This look ok or anyone have any tips to make it better. I am by no means a boat mechanic and accept any and all criticism....lol

Did you happen to see the Perko flush kits that simply install (inline) within the raw water hose between the drive and raw water pump? IMO cleanest you can get and no valves to forget to throw.

Nonetheless, Good looking install for what you had to work with.

Just me, I would safety wire or zip tie the valve open.

Also the perko looks cheap. I would worry about one good smack and that plastic body snapping in half

I highly suggest you put your hands on one before assuming cheap build quality based on 2d pictures. Furthermore, when mounted in a reinforced suction hose, mid air, 3" off the raw water pump there's not even a possibility of a "good smack" as there's not enough slack in the rigid hose for it to move at all..

Just my opinion and I am as entitled as you are. Its known that heat and plastic aren't a lasting combination, versus metal. FURTHERMORE... I wouldn't trust my cooling capacity to some spring that can get jammed up with sand.
Remember, you're no bigger expert than I am and this is a discussion forum. So don't put others down with condescending remarks. Thanks

Friend had these installed. One cracked. Almost sunk the boat. Replaced with ball valves and stainless steel tee's in the inlet hoses instead.
