Default Window Tint???

I'm thinking on tinting my windshield. I have 232 Formula. Any pros or con's? I think it will look better? I'm not looking at a really dark tint. just something darker than stock Taylor Made windshield.

.

lightly tinted looks great and removes unwanted glare. But too much tint is tough to see through at night.

Here's a lightly tinted windshield (JimLee Aerospace windshields, factory tint, not add on) for sampling purposes

tint level indoors

tint level outdoors

I don't think you can tint the lexan / plexi windshield right? That product continues to gas off and causes bubbles in the tint. Might want to confirm that....

Ayuh,... In my experience, tinted windows can't be seen though at night,....
All ya can see is the glare from the gauges,..

If yer a sunshine boater, No problem,....

That would be correct as I have been told by the people who make those windshields. Otherwise the wind deflector on my Baja would be tinted just for the look. Too damn small to work as a windshield anyways. lol

I've seen people "paint" the lexan with a low percent black or grey base (and mainly clear) to give the illusion of tint.

This is an OSO member's 271 Formula. He has it lightly tinted blue. His windshield was destroyed last year in a tornado when his Formula held the roof up of his garage for a couple days. He had a new windshield made, and it is being tinted just the same, with film.

Window film and sunscreen do not get along well.

As far as a tint I would leave it alone. Had mine done 2 years ago and took it off after the 1st season, was dangerous at dusk and night time.
