1977 233 wiring schematic

Does anyone have the wiring schematics for these? I just purchased a 1977 233, that has been sitting in Jacksonville, FL. The fun begins.

There is a universal marine wiring code.

The engine has a wiring diagram that shows what wire goes to what and then you have to take it from there wiring the boat. IF you can't figure it out have someone else do it that can.

THe odds of a 1977 boat having anything resembling stock wiring is slim to none. Its probably had 6 stereos, including an 8 track, 4 sets of gauges, 3 ignition switches.and countless "fixes" buy somebody's buddy Larry.

The good news is that boat wiring is pretty simple to do, a 1977,mercs? wiring diagrams are easily googled and provide color codes. the rest is freehand, there are as posted some basic color coding rules of thumb. A good weekend and several days after work you can rewire the entire boat. update it and make it more dependable,

Rewired my entire boat last spring. word of advise run a #10 ground that you can tap off of for everything NOT the stupid little wire the manufacturer ran.

This is not my first rodeo. Just looking for an original diagram. I have found others in the past. This 78 has a sb chevy and volvo 280 drive. Am in the process of a complete refit, thinking about a bracket and twin outboards.
