We have a 2006 353 fast tech it has the 600 Sci motors with the Whipple upgrade making around 800 per motor. The Rev limiters are set at 5800. We are planing on running a 34 p bblades prop. Any guesses on speed numbers?

My guess, you'll run out of hull before speed, especially without a staggered setup. Prolly run 90 comfortably (chine walk)...might push 105-110 if you can get it there, but with that hull, I wouldn't want to be on your boat. Pull those motors and drop them in a 38', you'll be able to enjoy going over 90 in a stable ride, should be able to reach 105+ in a 38' with that setup.

We took a tour of the sensation factory and on some of there boat these use something they developed to help with chime walking we had these on a 312 we owned and on the best run the boat ran 102.9 GPS I'm thinking g this one around 105

I'm not saying you can't take it up to 105, I have a 28' with whippled 377's, boat has run into the 90's before (not with me), but anything over 75 (unless I'm the only guy on the lake) and it starts walking. I'd rather have a boat that could run 75-80 top end, but do it all day in chop and not worry about chine walking than have a boat that can run 110, but only do it when no one is around and it's glass out. Me personally, I enjoy cruising with other boaters. However, that being said...I'm sure that 353 is one hell of a fun ride and if you could get to the front of a poker run, you should be able to stay there (minus any cats). Got any pics?

I would say 105 is right on the money.

Well it is going to depend on a lot of thins. Like drive height, boxes or not? What kind of props is going to make a huge difference in what kind of behavior the boat has.

Ive got 525's with Whipples making 780 hp. Best Ive gotten is 97mph with Maximus props.I'm sure I could squeeze more out of it by playing with the set up or going to 4 blades. I just never got around to it.

Up to 93 or so, the boat is rock solid. After that, Mullen is right, I start running out of hull. Around 95 or so, you better know how to drive it as it gets real loose. one reason for this may be the lifting effect of the 5 blades, but really, the boat is not designed for over 100 mph.

I know my boat is way different but my fastech 271 with 713hp will defiantly run in the mid 80s but once it gets past 78 it starts chine walking. Anything above 80 gets kind of scary and I have to back off. Never have dialed in a prop because the boat is faster than I want it to go now. The formula hulls are very far from perfect on the bottom . The boats are just not made for super high speeds. I have seen 382s in the 90s with less power than yours. I'm guessing if you can drive it , it may pass 100. Jeff wurl

Took the boat out today. Ran 97 mph and was rock solid. Port motor is down 300 rpm so did get a true top spend. Starboard motor banging the Rev limiters set at 5850. Think with the two inch shorties extension boxes we will be look around 105 with 34. Has 32 five blades right now. Gonna be a bad bi***.😎
