Default Sea pump recommendations

Looking to see what sea pump guys would recommend for a 800hp NA 540 BBC. Is the stock merc style enough? Pull through the drive? Or a thru hull pickup?

Merc Bravo pump could probably cool a small nuclear reactor.

Id rather use the older 2 piece Merc pump -- recalling its rated for engine size 500 hp to 1000 hp persay.

I carry a few of them every year
