Since she has a new motor might as well make sure it has all new gauges to make sure everything is happy. I also had some of the pieces redone in powder coat instead of anodizing them again. The color is red anodized with a clear and silver flake. One step closer. Going to do the carpet next. Was going to use some 40 oz. for comfort but I have two hatches in the floor, will this extra thick carpet hinder them opening/closing?

Thanks for the props, I did do the battery hold downs as well as they were still raw and pitted but still turned out OK. I had painted some of the bilge earlier with some Rustoleum paint that was suggested on here for bilges. Turned out pretty good and it is pretty hard stuff. They had laid carpet in this area for some reason and the batteries just destroyed it.

Boat is looking great. I know that you have sunk a ton of time and money into it, but I have to ask. Are you going to put hydraulic steering on it? In my opinion, it is one of the best upgrades that you can make

Funny you ask that as I was thinking about that this weekend. I have a huge issue with adding this and that is my drive. This boat came with a King Cobra outdrive and I cannot find any kind of cap to use for external hydraulic steering. I have bought an extra drive, as I have read on this site is a good thing to have for this season. If they last I will have a friend machine me some kind of steering setup if the boat needs it. I really have no idea what to compare it too. I am just hoping for a summer of fun for the family with little or no issues (crossing fingers).
