Default HELP Hawaiian cat transom replace

Looking for some advise on what materials to use for replacing my transom. It is rotten half way down. Is the marine grade plywood from hd/lowes good enough? Want to make sure it is strong enough to handle the power I will be putting in it 600+hp. Is this a good repair kit for Fiberglas https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01JZYI2EW/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1492610425&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=transom+repair+k it&dpPl=1&dpID=510MJIM2WTL&ref=plSrch

The Marine plywood is just fine as long as it is totally encapsulated. You really do not need an epoxy although takes away the need for a respirator/mask.
