Baja boat 496 headers two questions-- Flush and Headers have to reemplace.
Hi, I am new in this forum, thanks in advance for you comments

First question
Just bought a boat baja outlaw 33, with 2 engine 496HO, with Custom headers, the headers look very good, but at the unión of the tube main , drips a small oxide
Someone told me that this is because internally there are other tube or piece that already is damaged and I need to change the headers, I find it hard to believe because I repeat the headers, are lock very well please give me your opinión...

Second question

I like to re install mercruiser original kit for flushing with fresh water, this is possible or with the headers cannot be placed again ?

Regards

Erick

Can you provide pics of the leaks you are talking about? Also not sure what you are talking about mercruiser original kit for flushing? Can you just flush through the outdrives or are you looking for the water hookups in the engine compartment?

Id pull them off and take a close look @ whats going on, they are a jacketed header tube, the inner tube carries the exhaust and a larger outside tube is over that one, the water flows in between the two pipes, if the water leaks into the cylinder you will hydolock the engine, NOT GOOD...the 33 OL is an outstanding boat
