I'm looking at a 2002 intimidator and it has a 6.2 in it but my brother in law thinks its been repowered. I beg to differ because the boat is very new looking and has low hours on it. I personally think most of these boats were big block motors and that no one would repower it with a small block if it had a big block. Nothing looks tampered with in the engine bay and everything looks factory fresh throughout the whole boat including the engine bay! What do you guys think or know about this??

Have a picture of the engine? There have been some changes over the years and that could tell a lot.

Have the engine serial # ran and find out what year it is. If it is the same year there is a good chance it was rigged with it. You can also call the factory and they can pull the file for you.
