Default Nav light issue on my 288

My 03 288 has the Nav light that automatically raises when ever I flip the switch for Nav lights. It goes up just like a power antenna on a car. I had it on the other night and it kept clicking even when it appeared to be all the way up.

This light went higher than any other Nav light I've seen. I would hesitate to turn it on at dusk if I was cruising because it went so high and would bend back. So I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a better alternative for the nav light. Thoughts please.

That light is made by a company called Innovative Lighting. It is no longer in production do to so many issues with it. This was an option on the boats so no all of them have it. You can get a replacement light that looks the same except it is not powered. You have to manually pull it up. Those seem to be a little bit more sturdy. Check out there website. www.innovativelight.com

Yes, I second what Jeff said. The pull up light is a direct bolt in, plug and play replacement. I replaced mine after several attempts to keep the powered ones alive...

I finally ordered a manual pull up replacement for my sunny. Pricey at 174 + 17 for shipping. But for a bolt in replacement I can't go wrong.

Had a hard time finding the light on the site so I'll post a link here for others that might be interested. Extend-A-Light Manual Stern Light - Innovative Lighting

Did you ever find a lens? Mine disappeared, think it was on the highway going to get gas and it blew off. Not sure but do not see how to get parts for this light nor do I see it available on that site any longer. could be trouble.

Call Mike @ Nordic boats. Last time I checked, he had some of the lenses left. I have a couple in an envelope somewhere, I will try and find them
