Has anyone tried a Imco 2" shorty on there 38 Excel?

I ran them on my 34 - I didn't gain much in speed ( I think I was at the point where I needed more HP to get over the edge.) But handling improved greatly.

It freed up my 31 viper. Reduced the feeling of dragging an anchor. Did not notice much difference in handling for 2"is not that much when you consider starting height. Do to the lack of prop technology drives were ran deeper than they need to be today. In my opinion Unless the boat is fast deeper drives to a point make for safer handling. Slight difference in speed but nothing to write home about. Currently an 80 mph boat but fixing to run close to 100 with new motors where I think the -2 will really help. Currently I am running -3 with 1" inch spacer. If you buy a -3 you can always space down. Never know might like the minus 3. I will be trying -3 with new motors. Happy boating

Tinkerer always liked those graphics. A Few of those are Kevlar composite . Look below transom serial number for CAL. (Composite alloy laminate). Expensive option.
