JI audio tweeters only last a year.
I have some JL Audio m770 speakers with separate tweeters the tweeters are mounted flat on the dash nearly horizontal. Each year I have to replace them and I'm starting to think it's because they are mounted horizontal and holding water. Do I need to mount them in a different orientation?

yes you do not want to have them hold water. JL makes an aluminum housing a lot of the CC use. The part number MTPOD-m100CL.
