I participated in the Tres Martin course a few weeks ago at LOTO. I have boated for much of my 53 years and just recently purchased my first cat, a 28 Skater. My insurance company demanded it, but in hindsight it should be a self requirement when getting into a high performance boat. They not only discuss what happens in each phase, but the physics behind it. When we were out on the water, I could clearly picture in my mind what was happening below me and why.
