Default How bad is it?

Hey fellas I'm trying to get some answers for a friend. He's got a 99 36 outlaw with twin 2007 525s around 300 hrs not 100% certain on hours. Port motor had been recently rebuilt. Anyway we were out running around today everything running good. The water opened a bit for him to get into it a little bit so we brought them up 4000 rpms then we started to smell burning oil, a drop in rpms, and drop in oil pressure on the starboard so we instantly stopped and shut that motor off, popped the hatch and it had puked the oil out everywhere. Needless to say we limped home and parked it. Waiting for it to cool off to do compression test. But just trying to get an idea of how bad it is. We had to shut it off and even when came off plane it didn't sound terrible just valve train rattle from no oil

No telling at this point. Need some exploratory surgery. Hopefully biopsy, not autopsy.

Next question, what reputable engine builders are there in or close to our area panhandle of Florida.

Just for moral support keep in mind the positive thought that it was still running when you shut it down. Not good but at least it didn't break or seize something.
