Hi Everyone,
New to the site, but lookign for some advice, or anyone who has had a similar eexperience with an issue I am having. I recently purchased a 2001 formula 330 ss with twin merc 5.7 MPS's. The boat doesnt have a genset, but does have shorepower and docside AC. So, the other day I was cleaning the boat and had plugged in shorepower for the first time on our dock. When I went to the cockpit to turn a few things on, it seemed like some of the switches were now operating different things that they should have been. For example, on of the light switches was turning the blower on.
There is also a switch under one of the rear seats that turns on the shore-power to the boat. Additionally, there are the more common switches in the v berth at the breaker that control the ac/dc power.
Anyone seen anything like this? Or can help me clarify what the hell is going on?
Thanks
Joel

The switch under the back passenger seat is to select shore-power or Genset. You said that you don't have a Genset so it is really isn't necessary and will have essentially the same effect as the main breaker in your panel.

in case anyone is interested, the house battery was low, which was caused by the fact that we're running components while working on it. Come to find out the breaker to the dock power was tripped, causing the shore power not to work, therefor not powering my shore power components or charging the batteries. Once the house battery went dead it started to do some crazy ****. It always amazes me how much a boat can make you chase your tail!
