Two big thumbs up to Performance Boat Center and the Coil brothers. We took our little American Offshore to the 10th Annual Support Our Troops Poker Run. 10 minutes into the run we lost power. Boat would idle but sounded like **** over 1500 RPM. We called Eddie Young (he built the motor) and he answered right away. We described the issue over the phone and he mentioned most likely a fuel delivery or ignition issue. He suggested calling Performance Boat Center to see if they could take a look at it. Lance Coil answered the phone and and told us to bring it over and his brother Myrick would take a look at it. Took the boat over to PBC and Myrick hooked up a mechanical fuel pressure gauge which checked out fine. Then threw a timing light on it and determined bad ignition box. Timing was jumping all over the place above 1500RPM. We ordered new box from Eddie and boat is running great. First class operation at PBC. They couldn't have shown better customer service and our boat looks like it doesn't belong there, super cool!

I've had similar stories with them on my own past experiences.
PBC generally will do what they can to take care of the customer.
All the guys are good there but the attitude of the place gets started and directed from the top of the food chain. Brett, Myrick, Lance are great guys and lead the way.
I gotta assume they get tired of everyones attitude that there boat issue is the most important one. but they handle it nicely

Daytona box, however had an MSD box on before. Both failed I believe due to water damage. It truly is operator error in my opinion not the product. The kids use the boat as a diving board off the front and back like it's their job. Water would run down the vented grab handle right on top of the box like a fountain every time they board the boat. This time we put a diverter shield on the transom above the box to keep the water away. We'll see if it works.
