I want to thank a longtime Offshore member and contributor for some excellent service this last week. Steve Smith, aka Smitty or Articfriends, came to our rescue. We were trying to get our project build (Sidemount Whipple 500EFI in a Baja 232 Boss) finished for vacation to start, having already missed our first vacation deadline last month. We needed a final tune on our Mefi and all the guys are pretty busy. I thought about Steve after seeing some of the contributions here, with testing, tuning and such. Steve arranged to meet us on short notice and we spent most of yesterday getting the tune set for our unique setup (bigger injectors than usual and 2 auxiliary before the Whipple). Steve spent a good bit of time getting the AFR's right-on everywhere in the range from idle to full throttle. A patient man and meticulous. Thank you Steve for working with us on short notice, and for making our engine perform even better than we expected.
