Are bow thrusters common on CCs of this size? I don't ever recall seeing one with them.

There was a large three engine Statement at the Battleship Run that had bow thrusters.

Bow thrusters are an option. My 39 has one and it's priceless in certain situations. You don't really NEED it, but it sure is nice to have. You can walk the boat straight sideways in tight spots, and helps to fight wind and current around the docks.

Good info. Seems that they are becoming more "acceptable" on boats of this size/style. I saw a guy on facebook ask about adding one to a 38 fountain and he was crucified by people bashing his boat handling skills, his intelligence, and his mother. lol.

I could definitely see how it would be AWESOME on a windy day...or any day for that matter.

It definitely comes in handy on the 340 NT as it is only a twin so the engines are set close together. The bow is quite large with a concave shape to divert spray so it acts like a huge sail. On a trip you'd have a bit more leverage with the two outside engines being set further apart. It has come in handy on more than one occasion.

It is an option on the 38 Statement but a nice one to have.
