Velocity VR1 HIN correct??

Velocity VR1 HIN correct??
I was offered a nice 29 VR1 from 2005 but I wonder if the HIN is correct. I couldnīt see or take a photo of it because itīs hidden below the rubrail at starboard and the boat is in the water. So the owner send a photo from the papers and the MIC is VMD which translates to MIAMI CARON BOAT WORKS, out of business since 1980.
Can anybody tell me how the typical HIN of a VR1 looks like?

yes, very sure. Itīs clearly VMD. The whole HIN is VMD29061A405, which makes sense - except the MIC.
Padraig: As a newbie I cannot post a link, as I donīt have 10 posts yet. I have some pictures from the seller but I donīt want to post them as they are not mine. My wife took some photos but she has .. uuhm a different focus. Iīll try to post one anyway.
The boat itself seems to be in pretty good shape and quite stock. Original 496 HO and factory flame painting -so I was told. Isotta steering wheel and bimini, but no trailer.
Asking price is $51k, which is way too much in my opinion. Itīs for sale in Europe - Berlin/Germany

VMP is Initial Marine Inc which is Velocity.... what's the title & registration # look like? VM"P" or VM"D"? may be a typo from the last time it changed hands?
Change the "D" to a "P" & your get Intitial Marine Inc.

maybe itīs just a typo - VMP can quickly become VMD.
But which is correct anyway? When I search Velocity I get VMS and VPW

ok, letīs say the hull is marked VMP29061A405, the year is correct, 29 sounds good to me, #61? How can I find out if itīs really a VR 1?
