I just logged in to my photobucket account. They say "We want to hear from you! Take the survey!" For once I was happy to. Now, what image hosting site works well and isn't gonna try to gouge us out of 400 bucks a year to post pics up here?

It would be a lot cheaper to pay for a membership if thats what you want.
but then again It would seem most everyone has bailed on this place. Too bad about that.

My small annual payment to OSO is worth every cent. Aside from the photo posting, I get way more than $45 worth of info, advice and interesting reading here just in the first month. Stuck in dreary old Thailand it helps me keep a little bit informed about boating in the worlds biggest boating market.

RR

P.S. I don't even get the free membership t-shirt 'cos they won't ship it international......

Edit. I should add, the OP is an excellent poster on here for general advice, probably gives more than he gets back but OSO is still a business so they want everyone to pay.

I have a full membership and cannot figure out the picture posting deal now. Pics do not load from files to the thread like they use to.

Your pics are probably too big of a file size.

Between the reformation of this site and PB nuking everyone's thread, restoration projects, etc. it feels like the traffic here is 20% of even a few months ago. The extra steps of having to resize pics, learn the processes of such, etc is just enough of a hurdle for folks to say fuggit, and go play outside instead.

I think it slows down a little midsummer cuz they are playing outside more. Me I'm stuck here with 2 new knees sucking oxycodone and wishing I could get back in the garage.

I closed my photobucket account and still get emails about using it as a 3rd party hosting site. I now use Shutterfly without issue, so far.

imgur kinda works. lemme see if I can refine a bit so I hit membership tab. the upgrades say they allow bigger PM box. allow uncensored section. none say allow post attachments. which upgrade allows direct photo uploading? https://pix.sfly.com/F6UKfa so you can get the link there. I guess there is a way to make it come up open?
