So it was time to get her back....1999 29 Lavey Nu Era - 1st 29 built
Have talked to Chris a bit......restore/rebuild in store. We are going to change guage/dash panel, modernize gauges, controls. Then new interior and finally a paint job. (maybe not in that order). Should be a fun project. This will probably get done before that latest "new" 29 hits the water

Congrats. Maybe I am old fashioned or just old but I think the paint scheme she has now is great. What is her history? Did she race in factory class?

No factory race history but it did pull a few skiers in the Catalina Ski race (393 numbers) back in the day. Its had 3 owners - the last owners kept it in Pittsburg, California and used it on the California Delta the last 14yrs or so. The colors look good here but up close it is tired and spit shinning won't go to far.

you bought it from river city and they lowered the price a lot from at first was listed at 39, 995.
The guy that owns / runs RCYS, John NEVER answers his phone EVER, . have no idea how you can run a biz like that when every phone call goes to VM.
. the motor has been changed not that long ago.
You should have kept that last 29 if I recall it was 2004. . IMO that was super nice and I really liked that one.

Needed to buy a restaurant... all good here. Best business decision I ever could have made.
John was very responsive not sure what happened with your dealings. Chris and I are going to have fun with this restore/rebuild - can't wait.
Going to see your rig when upholstery comes in and is ready for install
