Default Solomons Friday?

We will be at the boat show Thursday and staying in Deale for the weekend. We have heard so much about the Solomons, we would like to come down Friday. It is about a 45 min. ride south from Deale, and we are coming during the day.

Anyone going to be around? And where should we go?

The Island is not closed, just the Tiki Bar, the most popular spot. The shoppes and restaurants should still be open. I would say if you are only 45 minutes away, it is worth the drive. Do it for half the day, just to drive down and see the harbor. Drive over to the Holiday Inn, and walk the docks, and such. Lots of NICE boats, not a lot of go-fasts, but still lots of money down there. There is a restaurant called the 'something' Inn, a large grey building, back off the main drag, with an awesome patio view of the harbor, and a very cool 'boat' bar inside; best food we had in the area was there. PM 'Mark in So. Maryland' or 'BobbyB' for all the details.

If you're a plane fan, jump across the bridge to Lexington Park-there is a free museum there at the Naval Air Station, They have a bunch of planes parked in the lot and some pretty cool stuff inside-it's good for about an hour or two.
